March 18, 2024 Update

Greetings Portage Lake Residents,

I have just a couple of noteworthy items this month.

March Social Outing 

We'll gather at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27. The location is tentatively Blueberry Pines, but I haven't heard back from them yet to confirm they will be able to host our group. I'll confirm the location by the end of the week. Please RSVP to the Facebook event or send me a message if you plan to attend. 

Ice Out

Paul and Marilyn Peterson have officially declared March 15 as the 2024 Ice Out date! It is the earliest date on record since they started tracking in 1974.

And the Eager Beaver Award Goes To...

The Weckwerths - for having their dock in the water on March 16. 

Private Stocking

I haven't heard back from the regional fisheries office, so I plan to follow up with them by the end of this week. 

February Outing

We had nearly 30 people attend the get-together at Clancy's.
